Come with us while we build this.

YRUD is a refugee-led organisation in Nakivale Refugee Settlement in south-western Uganda. We grow food, work on water, train young farmers, and — with a small team outside the settlement — are building the tools the community asked for. Leave your name and email and you will hear how it actually goes.

How would you like to be involved?

Updates by email are included. Tick anything else that is true — none of it commits you to anything.

We use your email only to send you these updates. We never sell or share contact details, there is no set schedule, and every email carries a one-click way out.

What you will actually get

  • Updates when there is something real to report: photos from the fields, what worked, what did not, and where money went.
  • No schedule. We would rather write four honest times a year than twelve empty ones, so there is no weekly newsletter to promise you.
  • Nothing sold or shared. Your email is used for these updates and to reply to you, and every email carries a one-click way out.
  • No pressure to give. If you tick the giving box it tells us you are open to it — it is never treated as a gift, and never counted as one.

If you would rather give today

Our current appeal is the moringa planting pilot, hosted for us on Chuffed — a partner platform, because card payments cannot yet be taken on this site. For a bank transfer, the giving page will email you YRUD's official details. YRUD is registered in Uganda and is not a US 501(c)(3), so a gift is not a US tax-deductible donation.
