Give by card from anywhere in the world, or by MTN and Airtel Mobile Money inside Uganda — it takes about a minute. For grants and larger gifts, the organisation's bank account at Centenary Bank, Isingiro, receives transfers in US dollars, euros, or pounds with nothing taken out along the way.
Card and Mobile Money giving is built and waiting on the payment account to be activated. The moment it is, this page starts taking Visa, Mastercard, MTN Mobile Money and Airtel Money straight into YRUD's own bank account. Until then the bank transfer details below are the way to send a gift.

Card and Mobile Money gifts are processed by Flutterwave, which is licensed to operate in Uganda and settles into YRUD's own bank account. Their fee is deducted before the money reaches us: around 3.8–4.8% on international cards, 3.2% on Ugandan cards, and 3% on MTN and Airtel Mobile Money.
A bank transfer avoids that fee entirely, so for grants and larger gifts it is still the route we would ask you to use. For anything you would rather just pay with a card, give above — the convenience is worth more to us than the percentage.
YRUD is a community-based, non-profit, non-political and non-religious organisation, refugee-led and based in the Nakivale Refugee Settlement. It is registered with Isingiro District Local Government under registration number 0624, with an operating registration renewed 04 May 2026 and valid until 04 May 2028.
The account is held in the organisation's name, not an individual's. Justin Buma, Founder and Executive Director, is based in Nakivale and is accountable for how gifts are used. YRUD's international advisors provide strategic guidance only; they do not govern the organisation.
