Using this site

yrud.org is run by Youth Refugees United for Development (YRUD), Nakivale Refugee Settlement, Uganda. You're welcome to read, share and link to it. Please don't try to break it, get into parts you haven't been given access to, or send automated sign-ups or messages.

Whose work is whose

• Words and pages written by YRUD may be shared with a link back to yrud.org.
• Music, videos and pages made with artists and community groups stay theirs. YRUD hosts them; the artist or group keeps the work.
• Photos of people are shown with their permission. Please don't copy or reuse photos of people without asking us first.

Surveys, visits and Build Directly

• Answering a survey, joining as a member or having a volunteer visit does not promise money, work, a tool or any other support. It means your voice is part of the decision.
• A request is only shown publicly after the person who asked has seen it and agreed.
• Tools marked "being tested" are early versions. They may change, stop working or be stopped if they don't help. Don't rely on them for anything you can't afford to lose.
• Money given to a request is recorded against that request. Amounts are YRUD-documented, not audited.

Members' conversation and volunteers

• In the members' conversation, be kind and don't share other people's private details. YRUD may remove posts that break this.
• Offering to volunteer doesn't give you access to anyone's information. Volunteers who make visits are trained and invited by YRUD first, and keep what they hear private.

Gifts

Card and mobile-money gifts are processed by Pesapal, and the moringa appeal by Chuffed, under their own terms. Gifts sent for a named group (for example kit for Nakivale Young Stars FC) go to that group. If something went wrong with a gift, write to yrud.ug@gmail.com and we'll sort it out with you.

Honesty about what you read

We label plans as plans and targets as targets. Past work is described as YRUD documented it; it hasn't been independently audited unless we say so. If you find something wrong, please tell us and we'll correct it.

Links and other services

Links to other websites (Chuffed, LinkedIn, YouTube, WhatsApp and others) go to services YRUD doesn't run.
