Submitted or being prepared for funders. Nothing delivered yet. All figures are planning targets prepared for funders, not achieved results.
New Hope Solar WASH is a funding proposal, not completed work. The figures below are planning estimates prepared for prospective partners; they describe what the project is designed to reach if funded, and they are not achieved results.
The proposed works build on an existing borehole at New Hope rather than drilling a new one. Depth increase is conditional on a hydrogeological assessment: if the assessment does not support deepening to the proposed depth, the design and the budget change. Solar pumping removes fuel and grid dependency, a storage tank buffers demand, and four public water points shorten the distance households walk to collect water.
The budget of USD 56,500 is provisional and subject to assessment, procurement quotations and partner review.
Scope
Deepening an existing borehole of approximately 16 metres toward approximately 100 metres, subject to hydrogeological assessment; solar-powered pump; storage tank; distribution network; four public water points.
Targets — not results
The figures below are the targets written into the proposal. They describe intent, not achievement, and no part of them has been delivered.
